The story opens with a man waking up on the beach in nothing but swim trunks, and no memory of what happened to him--or who he is. As he tries to figure out his identity, he finds his way back to his hometown in search of anything that might seem familiar. He s reunited with his stepsister, with whom he s been estranged since he left town two years ago without a trace. When he learns that two of his girlfriends disappeared or died under mysterious circumstances, he begins to realize there may be more to his past than he might want to remember...
